Posted 07 June – Why do people on this forum always bring up WoT? Its like people here think there are no other F2P with Premuim games, and that this game will play exactly like WoT. I finally watched some youtube videos of WoT just to see what everyone was talking about, and it sucked. So why, why does everyone here apparently play it? And more to the point, why does everyone seem to think that MWO is being developed by the WoT studio? MWO is going to play nothing like WoT. Stop bringing up a bad game that you all hate, and talk about MechWarrior instead. First of all watching a few youtube videos of any game is not adequate experience to make judgements on the game, so saying WoT sucks based on youtube videos completely discredits your opinion. World of Tanks has what a lot of people think is a decent microtransaction model, most tanks you can buy are not the most powerfull and you cannot buy the top most tiers with real money highest you can get is tier 8, tanks go right up to tier 10 and the tanks bought for cash are generally not better than F2P tanks just different.

The successful KV-1 and KV-2 are the only variants that saw service due to changing requirements, doctrine and projects falling out of favour at the whim of the higher-ups. The KV-3 and 4 suffered a similar fate, which was never reaching even prototype phase before being passed over in favour of more advanced alternatives. The KV-5 was in the Super-Heavy class, and would have weighed around tons, sporting ridiculously thick armour varying from mm and a mm Zis-6 gun inside its blockhouse of a turret.
Soviet doctrine called “Deep Battle” required heavily armoured less-agile tanks that could apply pressure to a besieged enemy without significant fear from the opposition’s outbound fire. The KV-5 would have been one of the ultimate answers to that need, with a crew of six servicing the mm gun in a large turret, protected by heavy armour.
The KV-1 doesn’t even have the L11 in WoT – it starts straight with the Zis Which makes sense, because it would be too slow to flank anyone, anyway. The T does have it, though, and it’s fast enough to flank a Panther and do damage to it from the side.
Whether vehicles are stock or fully researched, how they are equipped, nor crew skill is taken into account by the match-maker. Vehicle Tier Vehicle tier is not taken into consideration when balancing teams. This is a common misconception among players. For example, under the current rules a tier 8 medium can be matched against a tier 7 heavy tank.
The only relevance of vehicle tier is to determine the battle tier. However, the top tanks of each team have the same vehicle tier due to the current balancing rules. The vehicle tier should be taken into consideration as it reflects a preordained operating range of a vehicle also known as classification.
The range of each tier gradually increases with technology and tiers can overlap.

Gold tanks It is fortunate that I don’t mind spending money on games I like, and that I can afford these relatively small sums. Because my explorer nature always makes me curious about the kind of content that is hidden behind a paywall, and sooner or later I end up buying lots of virtual goodies. So it happened in World of Tanks that after playing a good while without them, I finally decided to buy some gold tanks.
Gold tanks are the tanks in WoT which can only be acquired through the gold currency, which you buy for real money. The most important thing to know about gold tanks is that they operate outside of the regular tech tree. Thus you don’t need any research paid for with experience points to access gold tanks.

Tue Sep 27, 2: Matchmaking for T4 lights sucks. Matchmaking for a few individual vehicles sucks. T5 vehicles in general? Not really, unless you’re comparing it to stuff that’s of a much higher tier. Matchmaking for most T5 vehicles is pretty good. You’ve got a good chance of being one of the biggest dogs on the field, and if you’re not then you’re still capable of contributing to the battle meaningfully as long as you keep in mind that- as with every other vehicle in the game- you’re going to be sad if you try to slug it out with a higher tier opponent.
My T5 vehicles are some of my most reliably highest performing vehicles in my garage, contributing more to my team’s success in on average than anything else in my garage in the Tier bracket. You are entirely missing my point I think. T4-T7 have a 4 tier spread. Technically I suppose Tier 3 gets it as well, but hey. Very few tanks if any can reliably do anything effective against the top tiered tanks in a 4 tier battle if they are on the bottom.
