What the fuck were you thinking spoiling Batman 50 like that You just fucked over a ton of LCS, not to mention your writer — ToddHodd ToddHoddd July 2, If you’re that compelled not to read it, don’t do your local comic shop dirty like that by not going in Wednesday. Go pick up other titles, try something new. Don’t let your LCS suffer. There’s a lot of great titles out there. But honestly, give Batman 50 a chance first. Not only that, you put my LCS in a bind promoting it. If youre going to treat readers like that, I will not support your books anymore.

Batman (Bruce Wayne)
He is driven by guilt and revenge following the murder of his parents as a child. Batman spent his youth training in a plethora of fighting styles including boxing under Wildcat and Chinese martial arts under Wu Fei. Batman is perhaps best known for the explicit emphasis he places on mental training and intelligence.
He couples this with his parents’ vast fortune, allowing him to create many advanced gadgets and vehicles. Though usually grim and serious, he is willing to work with others in order to foil villains but prefers to work alone. Wildcat was the one who trained him in the art of boxing.
His parents died when he was so young. Shot. Killed right in front of him. He was raised alone. A kid in a huge mansion. With his memories of his mother and father. He had love, and they took it from him.
Although the only child in the house, his loneliness eventually changed during his fourth birthday, when his parents brought in other children for him to befriend, but most spent his party running around and yelling. Despite having play dates with the other kid over the next three years, he secretly wished to stay away from some except Rachel, who was the friend he saw the most.
One day at age eight, while playing with her in the garden greenhouse, Bruce fell into a cave where he encountered a swarm of bats. His father rescued him, though Bruce developed a fear of bats; the senior Wayne comforted his son by telling him that though people fall, they always have the strength to get up. Later, Bruce accompanied his parents into the city to see a new monorail system they built that just opened up for the public.
Throughout the ride, his parents explained that Gotham was suffering from an economic downturn and enduring deeper into very hard times. While watching a performance of Mefistofele at the Gotham Opera House nearby with both his parents, Bruce got frightened by a scene featuring a bat-like monster which reminded him of the bats that attacked him in the well and asked to leave.
Once outside, the family was confronted by a mugger named Joe Chill , who shot both of Bruce’s parents for dead for causing the depression to drive him out of his job and fled just as police patrol showed up to shelter the now orphaned boy. Thomas’ last words to his son were to not be afraid. At the police headquarters , one of the patrolmen, Sergeant James Gordon , did his best to comfort Bruce with a coat while Police Lieutenant Gillian Loeb was able to capture Chill.
He blamed himself for his parents’ murder: At age twelve, Bruce’s home-school days ended when he inherited enough money from his ancestors to give himself a first-class education and attend Mark Twain High School in Ossaville, a town closer than Gotham. His favorite subject was drama since he loved to read plays, and asked Alfred a lot of questions about drama when he learned that the butler was a child actor while growing up in England.

She winds up reforming and stays on the straight and narrow for several years, helping out Batman in Batman 65 and 69, until Selina decides to return to a life of crime in Detective Comics Selina appears again as a criminal in Batman 84 and Detective Comics , her final appearance for many years until In the s comics, a series of stories taking place on Earth-Two the parallel Earth that was retroactively declared as the home of DC’s Golden Age characters reveal that on that world, Selina reformed in the s after the events of Batman 69 and had married Bruce Wayne ; soon afterwards, she gave birth to the couple’s only child, Helena Wayne the Huntress.
